About Me

Get to know a little more about who I am & why I do what I do.

I believe healing begins with regulation, alignment, and returning to yourself.

I'm Dr. Liz Martin, founder of Heart Centered Healing Inc. — a modern wellness and leadership brand rooted in nervous system healing, East Asian Medicine, and heart-centered living.

I am a Doctor of Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine, Licensed Acupuncturist, Licensed Massage Therapist, and nervous system-focused practitioner passionate about helping people heal in a way that feels grounded, personalized, and sustainable.

My work blends acupuncture, restorative bodywork, nervous system regulation, emotional healing support, embodiment practices, and Eastern medicine principles to help people reconnect to themselves and heal from the inside out.

Over the years, I built and led a thriving half-million-dollar wellness practice, trained and mentored teams of practitioners, and became known for bridging ancient healing wisdom with modern life in a practical and accessible way.

But over time, I realized something important: True wellness is not simply about treating symptoms. It's about creating a life that supports regulation, alignment, sustainability, and freedom.

After navigating my own experiences with burnout, entrepreneurship, motherhood, healing, and reinvention, my work evolved beyond the treatment room into something much deeper.

The 3 Pathways

Today, my work flows through three interconnected pathways rooted in The Heart Centered Method™.

Healing & Nervous System Support

Through acupuncture, restorative bodywork, nervous system healing, and integrative care, I help individuals reconnect to their bodies, regulate stress, and support deeper physical and emotional healing.

Consulting & Regulated Leadership

Through consulting and mentorship, I help wellness professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders build aligned businesses, sustainable systems, and leadership practices that support both success and wellbeing.

The Regulated Woman™

Through courses, workshops, speaking, and educational experiences, I help women move from survival mode into deeper emotional safety, self-awareness, regulation, and intentional living.

Heart Centered Healing Inc.

Heart Centered Healing Inc. exists to modernize ancient healing wisdom in a way that feels grounded, relevant, and transformative for today's world.

This is more than a wellness brand. It is a movement toward a more regulated, heart-centered way of healing, living, and leading. Because when the nervous system feels safe, healing becomes possible.

My Methodology

The Heart Centered Method™

At the foundation of all of my work is The Heart Centered Method™ — a framework for healing, nervous system regulation, emotional integration, and aligned leadership. Rather than simply addressing symptoms, this method focuses on identifying and healing the deeper patterns underneath stress, burnout, emotional overwhelm, physical tension, reactive living, and disconnection from self.

This work is rooted in the understanding that the nervous system impacts everything: how we heal, how we communicate, how we lead, how we build businesses, how we navigate relationships, and how we experience life itself.

1. The Possibility

The first step is awareness. This phase helps people understand the connection between the nervous system, emotional patterns, physical symptoms, stress responses, and the deeper patterns shaping their lives. Using the lens of East Asian Medicine and the 5 Elements, clients begin recognizing the root patterns underneath burnout, overwhelm, perfectionism, emotional exhaustion, chronic stress, and survival mode.

2. The Protocol

The protocol is where healing and regulation begin. This work may include acupuncture, nervous system resets, restorative bodywork, emotional and somatic healing support, embodiment work, seasonal alignment, lifestyle practices, and restorative nervous system care. The goal is creating safety, resilience, regulation, and sustainable healing from the inside out.

3. The Practice

Healing is not just an experience. It becomes a way of living. The practice phase focuses on embodiment, boundaries, regulated leadership, sustainable success, self-trust, nervous system capacity, and creating a life that supports long-term alignment rather than chronic survival mode.
